The GLCC Team What is GLCC?

GLCC is a clinical research organisation originally located at the well-known Green Lane Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand. Since January 2007, GLCC has relocated to new premises in New Lynn, West Auckland.

Established in the late 1980s to manage large-scale global clinical trials, GLCC is built on a solid academic and clinical platform. We comprise of a team of specialist clinicians, research registrars and highly trained clinical research professionals.

GLCC is a member of VIGOUR (Virtual Coordinating Centre for Global Collaborative Cardiovascular Research), formed in 1995 to perform global clinical trials. Consisting of eight coordinating centres located around the world, the basis of VIGOUR is a true academic partnership that shares information, resources, opportunity, responsibility and credit.

GLCC is able to offer, through VIGOUR and other scientific collaborations, a diverse and expanding network of national and international resources that provide knowledge and services to the pharmaceutical industry. These resources include practical clinical expertise, regulatory services, human and management resources and advanced technologies.

GLCC has been established as a major contributor to global clinical research through our involvement in cardiology research trials, which include the ISIS, GUSTO, SYMPHONY, PARAGON, HERO-2 and VALIANT trials.
